Re: How can I get this theme working properly in MX 17 (possibly the upcoming MX 18 too)

The theme looks pretty basic (& not really very unique)... If you want a dark background theme that works on a recent version of things (xfce), you can always search here (look at the ratings "Score" for an indication of quality). https://www.xfce-look.org/ I mostly like the colour pallete it uses....

Re: How can I get this theme working properly in MX 17 (possibly the upcoming MX 18 too)

there are still gtk 2 apps and even the current xfce version is at gtk 2 (even though many components have been updated to 3). I know it is ancient and I'd love to update it to get at least some support in gtk 3. But so far I'd like to get it working properly with gtk 2 stuff. I see that theme was p...

How can I get this theme working properly in MX 17 (possibly the upcoming MX 18 too)

I switched to Linux on MX 16 just a month before MX 17 went available. I browsed xfce-look.org and found a theme called AfterDark that looked extraordiarly good on my aging Acer netbook. However I didn't switch to MX 17 on that thing because that same theme doesn't look quite the same on there like ...

Re: Package request: onedrive (by abraunegg)

It sometimes works, many times it doesn't. I type 'grive' and after 'reading remote server file list' (sometimes even earlier), it throws me this error: exception: /build/grive2-0.5+git20160125/libgrive/src/protocol/AuthAgent.cc(142): Throw in function long int gr::AuthAgent::CheckHttpResponse(long ...

Re: Package request: onedrive (by abraunegg)

thank you. will try. maybe I'll even switch to onedrive permanently untill grive gets fixed (and frankly, I only trust those data miners such as Google and Microsoft when I need them. Tracking stuff aside, you still need some stuff for online use even if your country is praised by Bernie Sanders for...

Re: Package request: onedrive (by abraunegg)

The build instructions involve manually installing and running a D language compiler that's not in Debian, as far as I can tell. That's not allowed in our package build procedure, and I don't know if the D compiler in gcc will work. Have you tried the manual build and install to confirm that it act...

Re: pdf reader for win 7

Sumatra is a great choice, too bad it has no Linux support. I tried mupdf and it really feels somehow inferior to Sumatra (especially since it is a mostly command line program and has no interface elements). It might be good on an older laptop of mine, but maybe not suitable for my frequent pdf usage.
