Re: antiX-17.2 released

With synaptic too you can select which repository to look through and only look at antix Linux 4.17 and 4.18 have NSA's speck in them if you get them from Debian. AntiX has that crap turned off. Linus/x decided from 4.20 onwards he will again drop that crap. Very few developers chose to turn that cr...

By default anything on your ~/Desktop will be on the desktop as folders or files. You can configure it simply by: $ pcmanfm --desktop-configure I think spacefm works abo...

Although I too have aging eyesight and the inherent hardheadedness to refuse wearing glasses, I too have problems with those cloud entry "no-robot" screenings. Suppose if i had to choose between Palemoon (blazzingly faster at boot and even page rendering imo) or Waterfox, i would still prefer Firefox.

Re: Making an ISO image of my hard drive?

Your message is incomplete, what are they? I hope you don't mean the Debian routine of making a live image. Long ago I tried and tried to learn the way to do in Debian, always something went wrong and it took way to long to find out. With refracta after four clicks I tried something and it worked on...

Re: Making an ISO image of my hard drive?

Refracta, if you can get it installed, makes an Iso of the system, it can be a DVD/USB live copy of your installation and can reinstall your system in another drive. If it works with devuan it should work easy here as well. There are actually 4 pkgs, snapshot, installer and their corresponding guis....
