we thought u r using mx17.1.
is antix17.1 use xscreensaver?
if yes, then u can use "xscreensaver-command -deactivate" (without quote) and put it in /etc/rc.local file above exit 0.

beside those power manager options, there is another setting on screensaver if u don't want your screen to go blank.
goto settings > screensaver > display modes > mode > select disable screen saver. :happy:

......... Is it possible that this is a kernel issue? I have no problem telling people not to use ever use a screensaver, but the power down of the display has to work. A "forever-on display" can't be explained away.. if power manager 'presentation mode' is checked, screen will always stay 'ON'. un...
