Re: [SOLVED]Changes to lightdm.conf for booting with two monitors

Figured it out without changing lightdm.conf. I just added a couple of lines to the script (/usr/local/bin/early-bg) that is run from there (script that runs from "display-setup-script" line in the "Seat Defaults" section of lightdm.conf):

Code: Select all

#!/bin/bash
/usr/share/monitor-script/./set-monitors &

[SOLVED]Changes to lightdm.conf for booting with two monitors

I have my laptop connected with a kvm switch to the monitor, keyboard, and mouse for my desktop PC. The laptop monitor gets set to "Position-On Left" and "Resolution 1920x1080" on startup. I manually change this every time I boot up to "Position=Default" and "Resolution=1680x1050" so that I can use ...

Re: Volume icon in sys tray looks strange

Changing the row size in the panel settings fixed it. I went from 40 up to 88 and then back to where I started. Thanks!

[SOLVED]Volume icon in sys tray looks strange

I just installed mx18 on a new laptop and am slowly going through the issues that came up. This is an "I can live with it" issue, but I thought I'd see if anyone could help me figure out what's going on. When I click on the volume icon in the sys tray, there is a thin white vertical line. Normal beh...

[SOLVED]No sound from Firefox after installing mx18

I just got a new laptop, installed mx18, and used aptik to backup and restore my old configs. I had an issue with no sound which I thought was solved after I created a new user. The new user has sound, and when I switched to the original user, that one had sound, too (I tested it by playing a video ...

Booted into the original user account and now it has sound. Great! Creating the new user solved it for me.

Re: No sound after installing mx18 on HP laptop

Just created a new user and the new user has sound. I used the MX Switch User function and my original user has sound. Will try booting into the original user now and see what happens (I'm guessing no sound, but we'll see).

Re: No sound after installing mx18 on HP laptop

I have sound when booting into mx18 from the live USB but no sound when booting to mx18 installed on the laptop. Maybe it's one of the config settings copied over from aptik?
