Re: How-to: Generate full-page screenshots of web pages, using Pale Moon

fehlix - Excellent. I don't see it as a regression, either. When I re-read Brinkmann's article, I don't see a reference they can be used together, or he used them together and the results. If they did work together, and I don't believe they ever did, they didn't work in 2015 (per Meyer's article). Q...

Re: How-to: Generate full-page screenshots of web pages, using Pale Moon

I use Pale Moon in Windows. When I enter: screenshot -- I get: "Available Options" without a list. Based on my testing the 2015 article aligns with what works and what doesn't in Pale Moon. I have tested Basilisk in Windows and it does provide a list of Available Options. Note: It is missing: --chro...

Re: How-to: Generate full-page screenshots of web pages, using Pale Moon

Where did Brinkmann get the "manpage" for the "screenshot" command from – the "manpage you can see here: https://cdn.ghacks.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/developer-toolbar-screenshot.jpg?) Type the following into Firefox's Developer Toolbar: screenshot -- And the options (commands) are displayed. ...

Re: MX 17 Repository: The Pale Moon Browser Thread

MX-16_fan - >Master Password and passwords I remember researching this several years ago. (I realize we are discussing Pale Moon ...) Back in the day, one needed a master password to encrypt the passwords. This is from 2009: https://luxsci.com/blog/master-password-encryption-in-firefox-and-thunderbi...

Re: MX Updater: Full vs. Basic Update?

As someone who is still trying to understand the basics, a tooltip would be very helpful. I like the idea of adding "recommended for" (newcomers vs experienced) in the tooltip. [ADDED] An example of the difference: say an installed package ABC has an update to a new version. This new version has new...

Re: MX-17 Live USB unable to create persistence files during boot

Sandisk drives (specifically, "Sandisk Ultra Fit" drives) have been found to be problematic Before starting this process, I had been taking notes from the manual (and antiX's info), this forum and antiX's forum, and dolphin_oracle's excellent videos. The one thing that did give me concern was the r...

MX-17 Live USB unable to create persistence files during boot

I have MX-17 installed on an old Dell Vostro laptop. (Before I installed MX-17, I had MX-16 installed. The MX-17 was a fresh install.) I decided to try the Live USB feature (something I have wanted to do for awhile). I created a Snapshot of my installation. I chose Preserving accounts. I used Live U...

Re: Would MX-17 be easier on SSD than Windows?

vksan, Yes they are internal drives, but switched. I made wiring harnesses that turn the 5 and 12V (red and yellow) on or off with a key switch which I mounted on the front of the case. (Black ground wires are always connected, a configuration blessed by a WD engineer in an e-mail) That way I have ...
