Re: Firefox ESR anyone ?

Anyone compared FF (with & without ESR), Pale Moon, & Waterfox to Brave, with all of the mentioned variables in mind? I know that Brave isn't in the MX repository but some seem to have been successful getting it installed. I've been using Pale Moon but miss some of the FF add-ons and features that P...

Is this something that I need to manually select (I don't see a listing for it), is it is handled automatically, please?

NOTE: All of the listed fldigi suite of programs appear to be working fine.

Thanks again!

Been busy with MX-19 development stuff lately, but I'll start on these now.
Awesome, how is MX-19 coming along?

I'm sitting here thinking how glad I am for MX Linux - and for you and others keeping me from breaking things!

Thanks!

Re: Updated Version of fldigi & flrig please?

Can someone provide a paint-by-numbers instructional as to how I might do this myself, please?

Or could I stay out of trouble if I follow the instructions here?

Re: Amateur Radio JS8Call

If you do this, please run sudo dpkg --remove-architecture i386 after installing your app and prior to allowing any updates to run or you'll probably break your installation and render MX unbootable. This makes sense to me - it closes the 32bit Repository - so nothing else uses it. I'm getting " er...

The install needs a 32 bit lib you can activate 32bit repositories by doing this in a terminal.

Code: Select all

sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386
Then do this

Code: Select all

sudo apt update
Try the install again. Good luck.
OK, this appears to have worked (it allowed the Install to proceed and complete).

Thanks!

Re: Amateur Radio JS8Call

NevilsStation I don't have any equipment, but the link you show: http://files.js8call.com/latest.html has a 64 bit deb, which I downloaded and clicking on the file installs it through GDebi and it looks like it runs. You don't need to compile it. Earl I'm getting a pop-up error when I install " Err...
