in fact , I just made a new live USB. I used an old MX15 antix2usb so I can have two partitions on USB. This is necessary, since else demo cannot store stuff on the SD card, only root can. so basically, this resolves all problems here. in MX-16 only root can access /live/boot-dev/subdirHUGEspace whi...

with LUM I got that (grub text based?) boot screen, which you also get when you use a standard ISO writer (such as "gnome-disks") to write the ISO.

It is not the nice graphical bootscreen with F5 options, but some text based makeshift thing (looks like a grub thing or sth.)
