Re: Cannot fix broken packages

E: Error, pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks, this may be caused by held packages. E: Unable to correct dependencies This is the message I get when trying to fix broken packages from synaptic. Re: Open letter to the MX developers from an Ubuntu user

Panel vertical or not. It is cosmetic. Hmmm... I need to check but, as I know the fstrim is default enabled on MX via weekly cron or not ? If not.A simple function on MX Tools ( enable or dissable ) fstrim for partition or all partitions will be worthy. Another function will be e4defrag ( I tried an...

Re: /etc/init.d/.depend.boot: errors on boot

ok, you can try this. there should be 3 .depend scripts. .depend.stop, .depend.start and .depend.boot first we remove the scripts (although I don't see how they are damaged at the moment) sudo rm /etc/init.d/.depend.* and then rebuild them sudo insserv that second should rebuild those scripts. this...

Yes I have a regular desktop. Problem described above is only at the MX Linux17 -32bit version and not on 64 bit version.
The /etc/init.d/.depend.boot: errors appears also during the shutdown.

Re: /etc/init.d/.depend.boot: errors on boot

ok, now cat /etc/init.d/.depend.boot cat /etc/init.d/.depend.start cat /etc/init.d/.depend.stop have you done anything with the insserv package, or deleted any symlinks in /etc/rc.* I'm assuming your system is still booting up? Is it taking a little longer than usual? cat /etc/init.d/.depend.boot T...
