dropbox alerts missing python-gpgme

I've installed dropbox via the MX package installer.
Then when dropbox wishes to upgrade itself it alerts that
python-gpgme is missing

what should be installed?
python3-gpgme
or
python-gpgme

Re: gthumb segfaulting

since my MX got borked I've reinstalled to MX18.3-64
codecs are being picked up
but there are the occasional gthumb lockup

note: my SSD drive (Crucial make) as acting up by freezing and hard resetting , no doubt this was causing issues across the OS including poor wifi performance

Re: "Fixing" problem USBs

cheap USB sticks are not worth the hassle, the firmware tends to be tweaked hence unreliable to use as a boot stick

you can also use shred with care to put the drive out of its misery
shred -n 666 /dev/sd[USB device]

change hotkey F4 to super-F4 because of alsamixer conflicts

MX system comes with hotkey F4 pointing to a terminal
this causes a conflict with terminal programs that also use F4 such as alsamixer

suggest using super F4 or Ctrl F4 for terminal in the future

Re: HOWTO: Burn bootable USBs

MX18.3x64 works with unetbootin onto a VFAT32 USB stick.
good thing about unetbootin is that it does not do a destructive write to USB stick
and it overwrites existing boot files.
Always be on the lookout for non branded USB sticks that have dubious firmware, they can tricky to be detected upon bootup
