Re: Personal impressions on MX-Linux 17

Even going from 17 to 17.1 was like a huge, positive step!

Also, can not forget the help at the forums and the kindness the "elders" show among themselves and especially to nerds or newbies like me.

Re: Looking for more tweaks for MX

Think LM does use systemd but If MX deems it better to do without for now, think i'll play it out that way too.
Shutdown is practically instant and 17.1 is faster to load than before, so we're good.

Re: Looking for more tweaks for MX

LinuxMint 64bit Cinnamon takes less than 10 seconds (it's the fastest i've seen yet) to boot on cold start and shuts down practically instantly.

Btw, i got a weird issue with Eternet connection, the internet connection sporadicly falls off even if network connection works just fine.

Re: Snap or Flatpak? That is the question.

Think i'll have to make it part of my daily homework to read excerpts of MX Wiki manual.

Snap or Flatpak? That is the question

Wonder which road MX will take: snap or flatpak?
Personally prefer snap.

Re: MX 17 Repository: The firefox thread

Isn't there another shortcut to minimize the browser window (alt+F10 doesn't do a thing for me with 'Hide title of windows when maximized')?

Two Thumbs up for MX 17.1

Although not a major upgrade, there's a feeling of finesse in this one that makes it look and feel touched up and a pleasure to work with.

Thank you to the devs and fans who contribute in so many ways to make MX better!

Looking for more tweaks for MX

MX-Tweaks is just fine and so is latest MX 17.1 ! But i'm looking for more user tweaks. For example, I'm not getting the faster less than 10 second boot time compared to Windows 10 (about 20 seconds): https://opensource.com/article/18/2/mx-linux-17-distro-beginners Can there be room for manual tweak...
