Re: Sound only works for one user at a time under KDE
Thanks @ghunter - I'll try this stuff out next time I get an issue. It's behaved fairly well recently but the autosuspend issue sounds like it's probably on the right track. Much obliged! Will post if I get no joy from those suggestions or if I can tell the problem is solved.

Sound only works for one user at a time under KDE
I'm on MX 21.3 KDE, on a ThinkPad T450s. My partner has been using the computer more under their account, and we've started discovering that the sound sometimes doesn't work, or works weirdly, when a second user logs in and tries to use it. I haven't been able to identify the exact circumstances tha...

Re: How can I reset all my theming back to defaults?
I'd never heard of `apt reinstall`. Thanks for the tip on that. It looks like the solution was actually more lamebrain than that, though? I think I hadn't gone into "Configure GNOME/GTK Application Style" in the Application Style settings dialog. Or, well, I had, but I hadn't done anything...

How can I reset all my theming back to defaults?
I seem to have gotten my theme stuff all mixed up somehow. I was trying to copy the configuration I had from a previous computer, but somehow I've got a bunch of weird glitches: SpaceFM doesn't respect the dark theme, and gives an error about not being able to "locate theme engine in module_pat...

How to get Scroll Lock to, er, lock scrolling?
I've just recently gotten interested in the Scroll Lock key. It seems so neglected, but as I read up on what its uses are, I thought, Hey, that actually seems kinda helpful. From the internet, it sounds like there are a couple possibly useful things I should be able to do with it: Stop the terminal ...

Re: Non-Qt applications rendering with wrong theme
Thanks - I had tried that and I thought it didn't work, but with you pointing it out again, I logged out and in again, and it took.

Non-Qt applications rendering with wrong theme
Hello, I've just switched to MX KDE and like it so far. But one conspicuous issue remains: a few of my preferred programs are GTK-based, and those programs don't obey the application theme. In the "Application Color Scheme" dialog I have the color scheme set to KvantumAlt (a dark theme), a...

Re: MX-19 installation: Ownership problems when reusing /home partition
I used "Reuse", and it asked me for a default username.

MX-19 installation: Ownership problems when reusing /home partition
Hello, I've just managed to upgrade to MX-19, but I had a hitch in the process that I thought you might want to know about. I have a separate partition for /home, and naturally I chose the option to preserve that partition and use it as the new /home. Later on in the installation, it asked me for my...
