Re: is there a way to delete wthout having to confirm with another click?

If you create a custom action pasting in the command I posted you won't need the extra click to confirm. If not you will have to keep using the extra click. It has nothing to do with using the CLI, it's simply a matter of pasting a single time into a settings box the command I posted above. Once tha...

Re: is there a way to delete wthout having to confirm with another click?

There is a way, create a custom action in Thunar. Open any folder, click Edit > Configure custom actions. Click Add a new custom action. Name it whatever you want, I named mine 'Delete Immediately'. Enter a description for tooltip if desired, I put 'Delete Without Confirmation' in mine. In the comma...

Re: Choosing MX-compatible hardware

One way to possibly try before you buy would be to make a live USB & try it out on whatever hardware you're thinking of buying. Not always possible to do that of course, but sometimes it is, and it can save some headaches by trying a system on new hardware and not just taking the salesperson's word ...

Re: [SOLVED]No Wireless HP 245 G6 Laptop

Mx-19 beta live seems to work ok on this machine, VLC plays files as expected, display settings work as expected, programs are able to be set as default via file Properties.

Re: [SOLVED...sort of...]No Wireless HP 245 G6 Laptop

Thanks CrackMeUp, I'd already seen that link, there's a few articles around the web saying similar things about these machines. Yesterday I tried some live USB's of different distros & found Xubuntu 18.04 LTS works ok on this machine, installed it works ok as well. Still had to build/install the wir...

Re: [SOLVED...sort of...]No Wireless HP 245 G6 Laptop

It is disappointing but can't do much about it unfortunately, the time for a refund on it has passed.
I'll just keep poking along trying different things & see what I can come up with :crossfingers:

Re: [No longer SOLVED]No Wireless HP 245 G6 Laptop

Starting up with Systemd instead of Sysvinit I discovered the 'make' command worked as expected, now wireless internet works correctly. New kernel didn't fix any of the other issues though unfortunately. VLC still crashes when t...
