Re: System wide sound leveling/normalizing for MX 18.3?

Probably an easier way to watch sound normalized Youtube videos: Install SMPlayer. Go to SMPlayer Options > Preferences > Audio > check Volume normalization by default Open SMTube (installed with SMPlayer I think). Browse videos and when you click on one it will play in SMPlayer and hopefully with ...

This issue is a good example of when Admins could email users with relevant information. The more ways this info gets out there then hopefully the g...

Re: Daily use of MX Linux (and Antix if you use it as well)

I use MX for everything I can do on a computer, I also use it for things I can't do
Every once in a while I fire up Antix if I feel like a change & learning something different.

Re: Access my USB stick

Creating ext4 with Gparted it's always created with root as the owner, I find the easiest way to get full write permissions for a user is to simply 'chown' it after creation. Which I believe is sudo chown <your username>:<your usergroup> -R <mount point> Hit Enter, enter password then hit Enter agai...

Re: Programs being gigantic. the answer.

No probs, I see it came up in the forum again & just thought I'd mention it
VLC is so far the only software I've seen this issue with and only the once with the upgrade to version 3 last year, never heard of Shotcut before now.
Weird how it only seems to affect some users...

Re: Converting images to pdf? Solved

I've been using LibreOffice to save images as .pdf for quite some time now.
Open Draw, go Insert > Image, then go File > Export as PDF

Re: Movies in full-screen exceed TV screen area

Could be the player also, Smplayer has a zoom function that can cause this regardless of aspect ratio if it's zoomed in too far.
I think the i and o keys are the defaults for zoom in & zoom out.
