Re: how to move files from archive manager into ~/.themes

The way I do it is I put the check into "Show Hidden Files" in the View tab of Thunar and make sure there is .themes folder and if not I create a .themes folder. When I download themes and use the Archive Manager I extract them to the .themes folder. I found this way to be easier than open...

Re: What about a regular MX Linux with AV Linux config?

I find it a bit sad there's been mixed reviews for the Enlightenment AVL version. I found, and find it easy to work with, even with the initial odd quirk here and there (which Glen has solved), and the journey of discovery for Pipewire, which as a die hard jack user has been a challenge worthy of m...

Re: FreeTube [Solved]

The latest Freetube 19... is working fine so far. Version 20 has some major changes. It usually takes a short while until the new version is available on Flathub. Looks like it got updated today. It looks like FlatHub's time frame to get software verified is two days which is good to know. You get ...

Re: FreeTube [Solved]

Thank you all for trying to help but there seems to be a misunderstanding what specifically I am asking for. I could download FreeTube version 0.20.0 from the Internet, but doing so I could end up with a bad app download because it's not verified and checked by a credible repository. I don't doubt F...

Re: FreeTube [Solved]

FreeTube version 0.20.0 has been available since yesterday according to the FreeTube app. I am currently running FreeTubev0.19.2 Beta and I have tried to update it but the newer version is not available in Flatpak. It seems FreeTube is only available in Flatpak. Can you make FreeTube version 0.20.0...

Re: When do you call it quits on an older machine? And how do you take the next step?

My breaking point is when the hardware keeps having issues and no matter what I do it has become sluggish. This is why I personally build my om desktop computers which makes upgrades easy and more cost effective. I would caution you on buying those cheap after market batteries from Scamzon because L...

Re: PCIe SSD supports Linux?

@j2mcgreg This issue of buying a PC is getting more complicated for me every day, I don't know what to do; please tell me ... I'm going for this option, what do you think?: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CMS55L1F/ In my experience ACER makes excellent Laptops. I currently have an ACER Laptop t...

We are all aware of it here in the MX Linux forums since it's been discussed here already. It doesn't apply to MX Linux.
