Re: KDE shutdown [solved]

KDE requires more time to learn how to set it up, that's for sure! Chris Yes, it does. It's a real pain to set up. Poor documentation as well. KDE has very good documentation, so I don't know what you are complaining about. If you don't bother to have a look at the kde.org website, or ask around, i...

Re: Keyboard volume control got broken by Stacer [Solved]

Fixed the problem. I compared everything from my Laptop with my Desktop. I deleted all the garbage left behind from that Malware Stacer. Then deleted two shortcuts in the keyboard shortcuts which were recommended that I install from an other forum. Then re-added checks on the sound icon and it start...

Re: Keyboard volume control got broken by Stacer

To quote Johnny 5 from the film Short Circuit, "Need input!" What's stacer? Where did you get it? I don't see it in any of the MX Repos including flatpaks and backports. What's your Quick System Info? I got that Malware from Sourceforge. https://sourceforge.net/projects/stacer/ System: Host: mauser...

Keyboard volume control got broken by Stacer [Solved]

I installed Stacer and it broke the volume control for the keyboard. I can only change the volume with the mouse. I unitstalled Stacer and the volume control on my keyboard still doesn't work. Does anyone know how to make my keyboard volume control to work again?

Re: Stacer

By the way. I made a mistake suggesting that Stacer be added to the MX Linux repos. Don't add it because Stacer will break the volume selector for your keyboard. Thanks to Stacer my volume control on my keyboard no longer works. I can only adjust the volume with the mouse. I also found out that Stac...

Re: Which of these two video cards works best on MX?

In my experience, ATI Radeon runs the best following other AMD's like Vega for second place. Intel is a close third right behind Vega. I wouldn't touch NVIDIA even with a 40 foot pole.

Re: Updator is broken

But it still shows that they need to be upgraded even though I ran the upgrade. So what does the output in the terminal look like if you proceed with the upgrade(s) the 2nd or 3rd (or whatever) time? When I removed the check for "automatically close terminal window when full/basic upgrade complete"...
