Thanks. I am thinking of making more. The photo is taken by me and I edit the speed limit sign because I hate speed limits because of my heavy size 13EEE. ;)

I am trying to create new wallpaper for MX-18 but Gimp won't let me remove the doted lines around an image. I tried cutting off the edges but Intelligent Scissors cuts off too much and same goes for Guillotine cuts off too much as well. Anyone knows how to remove the dotted lines around the image? ...

Gimp remove dotted lines.

I am trying to create new wallpaper for MX-18 but Gimp won't let me remove the doted lines around an image. I tried cutting off the edges but Intelligent Scissors cuts off too much and same goes for Guillotine cuts off too much as well. Anyone knows how to remove the dotted lines around the image?

pemartins It's good to see you got MX Linux up and running as I expected. I highly recommend that n the Edit menu of Thunar under Configure Custom Actions, delete Ownership to Root and Ownership to user to prevent that ever happening to you again.

Looks like it's for Ubuntu which in that case can break MX Linux. I use the Firefox extension: YouTube Video and Audio Downloader 0.7.6 which works well.

@OP: sorry if i am stating the obvious but -do not panic!- from what i understand, no data is actually lost but fixing your distro(s) would probably be more work than re-installing. Take backup(s) of your home directory (it seems mostly neon had content worth salvaging, if your MX install is fresh ...

If I reinstall MX without overwriting the Home folder I still have the problem that every freaking file, including in the home directory, is owned by root: Yes, if you keep home as it is, the wrong owner ship will not fixed automatically for you. :eek: That's false because it fixed it the two times...
