Re: Distrowatch reveiw grumbles

Sounds like he needed a wifi driver, only mentioned it four times! :p
First hit when searching for that driver name was a Github page with simple instructions how to install it with DKMS.

Planet X was a menace to the galaxy until antiX eliminated the threat. The name stuck anti-planet-X

Re: Need help installing wireless network adapter

This thread must be confusing for the poor OP. First 2 people saying it's a Realtek device and describing how to build Realtek driver when it's actually Ralink. Then a partial quote from the kernel config site which omits that it should be also in 4.19 (although it's still buggy and under developmen...

Re: not work shift for sellect multi filles

Also it appears you have .pdf files configured to open in Geany text editor which is wrong. Do you have a PDF viewer ...

DoubleCommander has a really good renamer utility as well, and it's in Debian repos.

Install doublecmd-gtk (or doublecmd-qt)

Re: Every time I come to the forum it has logged me out.

I also get some weird login issues here. Sometimes I am logged in using one or more tabs for threads and I will get an email notification for another thread which, when I click on the link and it opens in browser, will ask me to log in. Sometimes it will ask me to log in with no other tabs open here...

Re: Tips for Using Dolphin File Manager in MX without converting totally to KDE

Dolphin is in Debian Buster repos so should be easy to install from there. I presume Buster repos are active in MX19 beta (I'm not in MX atm to check).
@richb - did you use apt, synaptic, or MXPI?

Mine pops on startup too and otherwise works fine. Solution - turn computer on before speakers!

Re: Antix-Linux install on OLD EEEPC(asus)

I'm not going back to read the last 3 pages in this thread right now, but there's a discussion on how to do a full install on a 4GB netbook here - https://forum.mxlinux.org/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=47569&p=475075 Basically there are 2 options, use the cli-installer, or modify a config file while live bo...
