MX 19.4 download links

Got a bit of a gripe... For those who can't resist the thrill of resurrecting relatively ancient hardware from the grave, 32bit MX19.4 is MUCH more suited to the task than is MX21--even the Fluxbox version. For example: I managed to successfully install and run 32bit 19.4 Xfce on an ancient Compaq C...

Re: MX19-KDE: POLL on application menu/launcher

RE: (from MX FB page: "The MX devs are deciding which type of menu to make the default for MX19-KDE - the standard KDE one that is a bit like Whisker, or one that is more like a classic menu.")
The primary numero uno reason I prefer Xfce over KDE is the Whisker Menu, so...

Re: Are you buing more or less with the Pandemic?

Used my Trump Check for 25lbs bulk red quinoa, 40lbs bulk lentils, 500rds 9mm, a spring steel core belt, a GOOD holster for my Springfield Hellcat, 3 new pairs of Alloy extra tall jeans, and as many cans of chicken as Walmart would let me order (I live in a rural area, approximately 250 miles of des...

Re: Fingers crossed for Doerak

Very sorry for your loss. I am a "cat person", and I lost a very beloved one on Thanksgiving 2019 of all days. Quickly replaced her with a tortie "pound kitten" about a month later; she has become my best friend.

Re: HOWTO: make MX look more like Windows 7

The trouble with making MX (or ANY) Linux...LOOK...like Win7, is like "straightening the deck chairs on the Titanic", because it will never...BEHAVE...like Win7. From my limited perspective, a simultaneously constructive project to ease the transition from Win7 to MX would be a detailed (p...

Re: iwd: improving on wpa_supplicant

Be nice if it would work as a replacement for the never to be sufficiently damned connman in antiX 19.

Re: Anyone use LibreOffice Calc as definite substitute to M$Excel?

Back when I acquired my first computer, an Atari 800XL, and a SynCalc spreadsheet plug-in cartridge, I managed to figure out from the fairly rudimentary manual how to make my own spreadsheet that would printout on a Star dot matrix printer. And eventually save it onto a floppy disk. The equivalent o...

Re: install mx-linux on a notebook with intel i3 3110M CPU 2,4 ghz ?

I have installed MX 17 and/or 18 on several i3-3227u based Lenovo X131e notebooks successfully (acquired through eBay auctions), even resold one.

Re: What is the real popularity of MX Linux?

When I discovered MX, it wasn't even listed on DW as an entity separate from antiX. It was called "antiX-MX 15.01" I believe, and the 64bit version was described as unstable, so users should download the 32bit version instead. That was in Jan or Feb 2016. I have since tried Live versions o...
