I have a different suggestion. Why not make Synaptic an INSTALLABLE OPTION inside MX-PI's "popular applications"? The best repo anywhere in the US west of the Mississippi, and east of California, is the one in Utah, which I believe is the University of Utah, one of the original 4 institutions that were connected to the original DARPA-Net.
