Issues With My upgrade to MX18 with Crossover (Solved - For info only)

Over the past week or so I've noted the problems report with wine installs so I held off starting upgrades until tonight. I don't think I have NVIDIA issues. I do however use Crossover on some machines and PlayonLinux on others, quite extensively. My upgrade failed to download all files on first try...

Re: Request for Cliqz Browser

I am losing enthusiasm the more I read: https://www.ghostery.com/faqs/ghostery-make-money-browser-extension/ How does Ghostery make money? Currently, Ghostery does not make money from our free extension. However, we are owned and funded by Cliqz GmbH, a privacy-centric company based in Germany that ...

Re: Request for Cliqz Browser

Bumper do you like it? Could you give comments on whether it is worthwhile to explore? Have you learned what their business model is and whether it is consistent with their claim of privacy focus?

Re: Request for Cliqz Browser

One thing that does bother me is that I have not been able to locate on their website a statement as to how they make money to pay employees and acquire other companies. Being owned by a media company doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy feeling, and yet surely they meet that question all the time and h...

Re: Request for Cliqz Browser

We are currently not officially supporting Linux, but if you are adventurous, please feel free to try our internal build or build it yourself, the steps can be found here.

I guess that cuts us out, because we MX users are not adventurous, are we? ;-)

Re: Vivaldi is a great browser, here are some tips

Thank you for posting this. i just switched all my computers over to Vivaldi this past weekend (from Palemoon, my most recent default browser) and i am very pleased with it. I'm still sorting out the video issue that is referenced in the other thread and on the Linux download page for Vivaldi, but t...

Re: Vivaldi & H.264/MP4 (MP3 too I think) & libffmpeg.so

I know this thread is devoted to problems with the libffmpeg, but I just want to say that I downloaded and tested Vivaldi this past weekend and I am finding it immediately to be my new favorite browser. It is extremely customizable, the sync function works great, it seems extremely fast to me, and i...
