Re: MX 17/18 Repository: The Foliate Epub Reader Thread

Does anyone know if notes or any other added customizations made while reading an epub in Foliate get saved to the epub file itself, so that if we later read it in Calibre the annotations are still there? Or does it possibly save customizations to an extra file per epub that wouldn't be readable in ...

Re: Backup Linux system

I have been working in a similar direction, but trying to use Clonezilla rather than Partedmagic. Do you believe Partedmagic is superior in some way to using Clonezilla? I continue to read raves about Clonezilla but I've never found it very simple to work with. Is it worth the 11$ / year 49$ for a y...

Request - Update Treeline Outliner to latest 3.1.1

Treeline is an outliner - http://treeline.bellz.org/index.html The reason I am interested in it is that I like outlining for many reasons, including task management. I prefer an outline to a regular task list set with rigid priorities, and I want my outlines available for drag and drop changes on my...

Re: Office program choices

I am very happy using WPS (Kingsoft) but not the 2019 current version 11 which is massively revised and bloated from the prior version, but the older 2016 version (one back) which can me made to look exactly like the older Microsoft Word with the classic Toolbar. https://www.wps.com/download/ I also...

Re: Please dont let this project spiral down

Rs55: what you are describing is my primary use for snapshot. I rarely have to use it to restore the same system, I am regularly using it to move my customized setup from one laptop to another. Are you saying that the current version of snapshots cannot be used successfully for that purpose? If so I...

Re: MX 17 Repository: The Pale Moon Browser Thread

Palemoon is my primary browser and I love it. However I see that the latest update has done something to break compatibility with my Nextcloud installation (particularly the TASK app). Everything else in Palemoon and Nextcloud work fine for me in Palemoon, but for some reason after the update the Ta...

Package Request - QSyncThingTray

Qsyncthing tray appears to be the most advanced of the Syncthing Tray options: https://github.com/sieren/QSyncthingTray A Traybar Application for Syncthing written in Qt. Re: Tips for Using Dolphin File Manager in MX without converting totally to KDE

FWIW it does appear that the Flatpack download produces the latest version of dolphin (19.04) but the previews don't seem to work any better (or as well) as the locally installed version. Not only that, but the Flatpack version won't let me see or navigated to mounted disk drives other than \Home
