Re: (MX17.1) Extremely low file copy speed to an external usb pen or disk (fat32 formatted)

@felhix
4 of the drives have their own power supply. I no that there's no chance for my mobo to give 900mA. My PSU is enough when I measured it 2 years ago. I have only add an external drive with own power supply.

@truongtfg
Thank you. You have replicate the problem. The exactly same speeds with me.

Re: (MX17.1) Extremely low file copy speed to an external usb pen or disk (fat32 formatted)

I am transferring movie files (from about 1 gb to 8gb) to hard drives and usb sticks very often. Lets say that I want to transfer 10 files of 1gb each at a total of 10gb. I said that I have the same problem regardless I am using swap or not. I tried it both. All my music and video library is on this...

Re: (MX17.1) Extremely low file copy speed to an external usb pen or disk (fat32 formatted)

I tried ultracopier and still have very low speed.
I did not have this problem with Linux Mint (Cinammon).
I also tried Nemo but had low speed and crashes.
Please someone post or find a solution. I do not want to go back to Mint. If I do it, it will be permanent.

Re: (MX17.1) Extremely low file copy speed to an external usb pen or disk (fat32 formatted)

I just tried liquorix kernel and I saw small difference. The copy proceeds until 2GB with speed about 50MB/s and then instantly drops to 2MB/s

(MX17.1) Extremely low file copy speed to an external usb pen or disk (fat32 formatted)

As the title say I have extremely low copy speeds to all FAT32 usb pens or drives plugged in . (This is not happening with the 4 (ntfs) disks mounted on boot up) The copy speeds starts at 80MB/s and after a 1GB transferred it slows down to 5MB/s. Also, when the coping finishes and I try to unmount i...
