How to move the Panel is now the top item in the FAQ list at the top of the new Welcome screen. If they will not bother to look at the FAQs, never mind the Manual, then we can't help them. Heck, it's probably better to filter out such users... On the subject of "helping them", I advocate inclusion ...

IIRC, it was bled who "enlightened" us to the availability + benefit of lz4 mksquashfs option.
Don't trust memory, use the forum search (query: lz4, show:topics). Yep, earliest mention of lz4 in the forum was a topic started by @bled

The MX Welcome window cannot be minimized. Okay, but... after closing it, a brand new user would need to hunt for it. can veto future updates with 'apt-mark hold grub-pc" (run as root). But IIRC this works for apt but may not be honored by synaptic. Yes, synaptic recognizes and abides the holds. arky217, check the "Locked" property (toggled via the "panel preferences" of each panel) of the intended droptarget.
If its "Locked" property is currently set, the drag-drop operation would be refused.
