Re: how to install MX

. The "okay to format zxy" message... https://vgy.me/JMguBu.jpg ...reflects what has been chosen here: https://vgy.me/jpnSCD.jpg Your pasted inxi info doesn't mention an "sda6". Did the MX installer recognize sda6 as an available target? (FYI: installer ignores/excludes partitions smaller than 4GB) ...

Re: Live persistant run slow

fehlix, that's a good tip about redirecting the browser disk cache location (as an alternative to outright disabling it). I'm usually running livesession root_persist and system has plenty of RAM. Instead of "fancy" browser-sync-daemon solution, can add ff about:config prefkey browser.cache.disk.par...

Re: Annoying Problem With Mouse cursor in Xfce (Mx Linux)

"not working in MXPI no matter what i change it is not working in MX tools" . . . "(some not all)" Possibly confusing for someone migrating to MX from ubuntu: On MX and antiX systems, a "really real" root user login account exists. Separate recently-used documents list, app preferences, and theming...

Re: Live persistant run slow

During static persistence session, the system continually, in realtime, writes any changed files to the persistence device. Re: Office Suite in Antix

.
The question led me to recheck. Ayup, mentioned atop the antiX FAQ

"What's in full that's not in base version?" has been a recurring question. Maybe can fit a bulleted list into FAQ during next revision.

Re: Deleting /home/..../.mozilla OK or not?

Files comprising your ff "profile" reside under that .mozilla directory. To reclaim space, you can safely delete the contents of the "cache" and/or "cache2" subdirectories. If you don't mind wiping out your ff profile (including customized preferences, history, bookmarks, any extensions installed......

Re: antiX:- How do you modify the font size of the WM's that can come with antiX?

To manage fonts displayed by JWM, yes, need to edit individual theme files residing in /usr/share/blahblah because each time you select (make active) a given JWM theme, its files are copied from /usr/share/blahblah into your ~/.jwm/theme/ directory, overwriting any files already residing there. For ...

Re: Persistence options

fehlix, I don't know why the "pdir" (aka "persistdir") boot option is omitted from the MX wiki page https://mxlinux.org/wiki/system/boot-parameters but it's not new, is mentioned in antiX docs at least as far back as antiX15 https://download.tuxfamily.org/antix/docs-antiX-15/live-boot/persistence.ht...
