Re: MX 17 Alpha3

I created a persistent live USB via live-usb-maker (the live-usb-maker-gui said "device too small" no matter how I formatted and partitioned). It boots fine with UEFI, toram, persistence work, but NetworkManager gives the same error. I even switched to another WiFi USB with a similar Ralink chip tho...

Re: MX 17 Alpha3

I cannot connect to WiFi on the live system. nmcli dev wifi connect "MY_SSID" password "my_password" Result: Error: Connection activation failed: (53) the Wi-Fi network could not be found In nm-applet and nmtui the connection is available, but it doesn't co...

Re: How many of you need a 32 bit distro?

Hi everybody! I still have a netbook and a VIA thin client which are 32bit only. I already switched from Manjaro to antiX NET on the VIA machine, will probably switch to it on the netbook, too, if Arch will have dropped 32bit and the community repo will not provide a reliable substitute. I think Lin...

Re: MX-16 Final feedback

@Richard, my simple idea would be disable fsck in fstab temporarily, boot with a live CD, mount sda2 and replace "0 1" with "0 0" in the line with sda2. (Further troubleshooting would require a separate topic, I guess.)

Maybe yes, apt-notifier. Is it from upstream then?

Re: MX-16 translations cut-off Monday Nov 21

Late to the party, but I found an annoying mis-translation in an important piece. The context menu of the box for update and install packages in system tray has in German "Aufrüsten" in its options, but it should be "Aktualisieren" for Update/Upgrade packages/system. I was not able to find the relev...

Re: MX-16 (Metamorphosis) RC1 available for testing

I support Skidoo's view on the subject matter of fonts. Maybe his very special (and lovely) ironic and sarcastic style is a bit demanding for a stressed developer team. Which is undestandable considering all the effort you have done. You are doing a great job, dear MX team! Skidoo's suggestion is ju...

Re: MX-16 (Metamorphosis) RC1 available for testing

I agree with @Skidoo about too few choices for monospaced fonts and that of these DejaVu Sans Mono would be the best, because I like its l and g better.
In my opinion Terminus is the clearest terminal font, but maybe not the best choice for new users who whould prefer a smoother font.
