Thanks. Kernal updated. Still would like to know why it did not update automatically.

I noticed today when my Lenovo laptop updated MX Linux 23.2 it did not update the kernal like my other laptop did. Is there a reason for that? It still has the old version of the kernal. I finally got it to work by reinstalling the Windows UEFI Bootloader onto the ESP partition. It is a process and had to use a Windows install disk and then reinstall grub onto the ESP partition but it finally works. Thanks for all of the help.

Also I did sudo update-grub and it does not find windows before or after the above. Any other ideas.

I received an error /EFI/Microsoft/Boot/bootmgfw.efi not found.

I would really appreciate some help on this problem as I need to be able to use windows. Thanks.

No. Windows is on the main ssd along with MX. The sd card is just for file storage.
