Thanks for posting Charles. the sim card section is there but no IMEI number. I did just figure it out using mmcli. Here are the steps for anyone else. help discovering moblie BB IMEI (SIM) ID
On a windows PC in a cmd window I can run
and the sim card IMEI number shows up in a list.
is there a way to do something similar on MX?
I've looked into net-tools commands, mmcli and others without any luck.

9.2 comes down OK from a terminal. Open synaptic and set preferences to MX then OK. While there, enable the mx test repo and do a reload then close synaptic. open a terminal and run this sudo apt-get install -t mx winehq-staging The above worked for me.
