MX 17 Repository: The simplescreenrecorder Thread

The latest simplescreenrecorder-0.3.11 rebuilt from sid is now available for download from the test repository. The qt libraries have been upgraded to 5.7 so that's the end of this one for MX 15/16. Check out the author's (Maarten Baert) web site for more info. ss.png As soon as get some additional ...

wine-3.14 is out but the staging pieces aren't quite there yet. Soon as they show up, I'll get this one up.

Re: Packages being worked on by the Repo Team

simplescreenrecorder-0.3.11+1

edit: this one is done and up. Just waiting for it to show up in the repo.
The qt libs were up'd to 5.7 so no build for mx15/16.

I did try building it for a jessie version with the depends reduced for all the qt libs to -5.3 bit it ftbfs.

Re: MX 17 Repository: The firefox thread

firefox-61.0.2 is now available to upgrade to. We're holding back on the switch to libavcodec for now.

Feel free to check the mozilla release notes page for more info.

This update is also good for MX 14, 15 & 16.

Re: Packages being worked on by the Repo Team

Yeah...thunderbird 60 is finally out, and we can't build that with cargo 0.25 in Stretch. Do we want to switch back to mozillabinary builds? We'll need to fix the language pack problem then; I did a end run around that issue by switching to the source build packages. Maybe Debian will push out secu...

Re: How to work on .ts files ?

Hmm. I don't find it in stock repos nor in the test repo. Do you have a link? It can be downloaded but we're not allowed to store it in our repos. It uses some proprietary codecs. All the download links and ppa's I could find right now are pretty old. So no immediate additional advice from me here....

Re: Remote Access testing

@mmikeinsantarosa: Have you tried X2Go? I've heard very good things about that, mostly from people who use it from their Windows PCs to connect to a Linux PC... but the client seems to work just as well (if not better) under Linux. If you have X2Go testing results for old & new 32 & 64 bit hw, feel...

Remote Access testing

I've done some remote access testing lately and figured I'd put up my results if anybody's interested. Why? My 85 yo mom lives 40 miles from me and I needed a way to support her without having to get in the car. She runs MX. 1-to-1 Assistance: The port forwarding is different for each router/modem a...
