Re: What are the security measures to protect an MX Linux machine from Ransomware?

I've been through a past experience where I used these tools to check certain things out.

Re: Wireless mouse problems

Re: Stuck at Slim login screen

Another way I'd experiment is I would install xdm and not use slim at all.
This was on early antiX 8.5 core installs.

Edit: My symptoms were I would log in. Then get kicked right back to the slim log in screen.

Re: Stuck at Slim login screen

I used to break slim login on my older gear by installing newer kernels after a install.
Using the grub menu. I'd boot into my previous working kernel and delete my kernel upgrade changes.

Re: "Minimal Xfce" option

There's currently no antiX click-a-button "add minimal Xfce" option. Maybe you had seen that in an experimental (antiX14 b3) release? Made me look. https://i.ibb.co/rc9qSwh/screenshot1.jpg If I was to approach this thread topic with my style. I would grab a large usb drive. Run my clueless ...

Re: "Fattening" antiX and no systemd

Anti covered the systemd reply and is on point as usual. I'll just mention LXDE, XFCE, E17, KDE. All them fattening apps. Are Desktop Environments. Not Window Managers. Saves you confusion later. When I had time. I used to play with Desktop Environment installs when systemd was not in play yet. Some...
