Re: Any Experience with PNY Flashdrive?

Hello Redacted,

I've been using two 32G (usb2) PNY flashdrives on my Raspberry Pi for storage for about a year, no problems, they're still working today. Recently, I added a 64G (usb3) PNY flashdrive and it lasted only 6 weeks before failing.

Featherpad, (can't apply the selected font)

Hello all, Is anyone experiencing this issue with Featherpad? No matter what font selected it reverts back to DejaVu Sans Mono Book. Either within the same session or after restarting Featherpad. Maybe this Red Hat Bugzilla report is relevant - https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1594583. Sc...

Re: Tried to give money to MX Linux

Hello to All For what it's worth it seems to be working now (attaching a few screenshots) but I have experienced difficulty with PayPal in general (not MX specifically) with online purchases. I think what happens is PP *really* wants you to create an account and sometimes the forms make it look as i...

Re: NTFS - Does anyone got any ideas on what could be going wrong, and how to avoid it.

Hello Gregorylock, This happened to me many years ago. The problem? When naming the file in linux a colon was somehow allowed in the filename - a colon is a reserved character that is not allowed in NTFS so when attempting to access the file in Windows it would work as long as I didn't try to rename...

1) 32 or 64bit? MX-15.01_386 on live usb with persistence on 64bit CPU. 2) Can you boot to the desktop? Yes, I can boot to the desktop. 3) What works OOTB? Everything works OOTB with one minor exception (see #4). 4) What doesn't work OOTB? Did you find a fix? On shutdown the 'antiX Save Persistent R...

Re: Wireless Drops - Broadcom

Hi SMilliken This could be a know problem with a possbile solution. Here's a link to a thread "Jessie regularly loses wifi connection" - http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=121071. I think the issue may be power-saving interacting with the wifi chipset. The Liquorix 64bit kernel may include...

Re: MX 14.4 freezes in VirtualBox after resuming saved VM

@Raymzap Hi Raymzap. I'm running a similar system so I did a test on the "save machine state" option. I was not able to get it to fail. I saved the VM once at MX-14 login screen and again while logged in and both times it restored with no issue. Note. This VM is on an older guest additions (4.3.30) ...
