ok anti, then what is your suggestion for a system with 2 init systems?

Maybe it's even better to purge the package and reinstall it later. Or, what to do with this crutch? ;)

Re: MX 18 login issue

Restart the computer in the Grub submenu and select the entry with "systemd".

On the login screen press
Ctrl+Alt+F1
log on as root and execute the following commands one after the other:

Code: Select all

systemctl stop lightdm
apt-get remove systemd-shim
systemctl reboot
log on normally to the computer.

Re: SystemD o no SystemD

Re: want to detect battery for conky

Exactly
You hit the nail on the head

Therefore, the user must always use a terminal to determine what his machine is capable of, and then apply this to the relevant Conky.

Code: Select all

Re: want to detect battery for conky

Wow, it's "creative unrest" erupting here. @fehlix it's a brilliant idea of yours, but unfortunately it doesn't work. :frown: Certainly it would have been written down by the Conky-Guru's a long time ago. Your if_match statement shows me correctly the existence of the battery and its current...
