Re: HOW-TO: Intel H110 Motherboards, Getting Temperatures and Fan Speeds

I'll have to look up all these commands and learn a bit more. It is a pain though that the /sys/ stuff seems to set up randomly on each reboot! because it is not standardized for simplification, with sensors -u you see more. ThinkPad users can use e.g. Conky Fan ${alignr}${platform thinkpad_hwmon f...

Re: Howto: remapping buttons on Logitech MX Ergo (and other devices)

create an autostart-script in your /home (all applications can be included) autostart-xfce.sh (mine already exists) #!/bin/bash xmodmap ~/.Xmodmap sleep 1 && xbindkeys -f ~/.xbindkeysrc sleep 10 && conky -c ~/eadwine/.conkyrc10 & then you need a "desktop configuration file" in the hidden directory /...

Re: antiX Screenshots

ascii - Images don't look really good in neofetch by antiX... Therefore I used the logo of antiX for the representation in neofetch. Generally the image display from the wallpaper directory or single images is no problem. http://thumbs2.imagebam.com/44/bc/27/557b76947452894.jpg http://thumbs2.imageb...

KoO wrote:@male, (what do you think of glances)
I use glances in all distributions to get a quick and reliable overview by Conky's system utilization. I'm very happy with that (at 10 and more Conky's). ;)

Re: MX Boot Options – „Boot to“ Memory Test with Boot-“Loop“

@Adrian my tests with your MXBO: the setting 0 of the "Menu timeout" actually does not allow anything else than booting the default OS/memtest. Pressing the Shift key with the start button of the computer at the same time has no effect, because two further necessary functions GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT=0 a...

Re: MX Boot Options – „Boot to“ Memory Test with Boot-“Loop“

Unfortunately I can't check this, because the MXBO tool is not offered to me during the update. Why is that, you are not on MX-17? surely ;) inxi -r Repos: Active apt repos in: /etc/apt/sources.list.d/antix.list 1: deb http://nl.mxrepo.com/antix/stretch stretch main Active apt repos in: /etc/apt/so...

Re: MX Boot Options – „Boot to“ Memory Test with Boot-“Loop“

I hope I understand the reason for this controversy... Every Linux user should know that if the time is set to 0 seconds in the Grub_Menu, he will never see this Grub_Menu again. To make this visible again, the shift key must be pressed and held simultaneously by pressing the power key of the comput...
