Re: Installation of Multiple Window Managers

How has your experience been with Pekwm? Not to mention, I found the following resource for WMs: https://www.gilesorr.com/wm/table.html I really like Pekwm. It's a stacking WM, really love the middle mouse click feature. Pekwm is a discontinue project. But it's still good as it stands. Many good we...

Re: Installation of Multiple Window Managers

Well, I have installed the 3 desktop WMs mentioned and they all seem to work. I have to learn how to use them! I even included others, such bwspm, dwm, herbluftwm, and xmonad. That's a lot of window managers! It is my hope to get experience in all of these, eventually. Productivity in coding and de...

No need to with Window Managers. I never recommend more then one DE on one account. But Window Managers are pretty much separated from each other.

Re: Installation of Multiple Window Managers

Yes, I agree the Arch Wiki and also the Gentoo Wiki are great resources to learn from and are great distros. One can learn even by installing Archlinux in a VM (Virtual Machine for new users) , which I will be doing in the future. Perhaps I can replicate what I did wrong if it was my own doing, how...

Re: Installation of Multiple Window Managers

There are users running those here. Just install, then select up at the top on the login screen. Some don't automatically show up on your login screen(Display Manager). These three might, I haven't check them out, if they do or not. But if they don't show up after logging out, I always add them to ...

Re: Why terminal and clementine starts every login ?

Do you close those applications before you log out? Go in the applications settings and see if you have them set up to auto start. ~/.config/autostart ~/.config/gnome-session/saved-session/ /etc/init.d/ also look in ~/.gconf/apps/ Try a ps -e to look for the running-in-the-background command, then l...

Re: What was your first Linux distro?

SimplyMepis July 15th, 2003 over 16 years ago. Now look where I am. MX, so it's like I already went a full circle with Linux. MX also stop me from distro hopping. I won't go to another primary OS. MX for life or at least the life of MX.

Re: Terminal Emulator Choices

What terminal do y'all use? I'm finding the default XFCE Terminal is surprisingly great, but I'm also eyeing Terminator. It's a little more similar to Terminology, which I used to use on Bodhi Linux. (Side note which should probably be its own topic: is there a way to get Terminology on MX? Or can ...

Re: Google Drive On MX?

rclone claims it works. It's not easy to tweak for Google Drive. At least at one point it wasn't, that might of change now.

Re: Do any of ya'll play the free Linux games?

If so, which are your favorites? There are many. I switch to Linux 16 years ago. All I did the first 1 and 1/2 years, was nothing but Linux games. Penguin Command Prey(2006) World of Goo Mad Skills Motocross Xonotic Amnesia: The Dark Descent Penumbra: Black Plague Penumbra: Overture Penumbra: Requi...
