Fully aqgree with figueroa. Am running an ASUS external floppy from a powered USB hub. The floppy has the advantage of an extra USB connector
wired to parallel the power feed. No problems at all.

Yes, installed it on my old desktop running MX 19. No problems - except my deafness, but that is easily overcome with the audio gain control and a pair of headphones..

Answering the original question: A Toshiba Portege Tablet M700, about 14 years old, or the desktop is a Dell Optiplex, age uncertain but has been updated with an SSD.

It will vary with the keyboard maker. The Dell KB has the Scroll Lock Key in a group of three immediately above the numeric keys. There is no indicator. Had a similar experience. I had forgotten to tell the installer where to pu Gtub. Ran the installer again and told it to put Grub at the end of the Boot

GIMP can resize, crop and otherwise modify image files, then export to pdf.
