In that the recent world-wide Ransomware episode happened because of (1) a deficiency in Windows system coding and (2) the failure by many users to install the manufacturer's patch to repair that deficiency (users had about two months to do this before the episode), Linux overall was immune. Possibly not related but an elderly HP laptop running Vista, with usb2 ports would not boot from usb.

Have it working, the way I would expect. Problem with ignoring directories is that I was comma separating them, instead of a simple space. Then to find a file. Asked it to find a pdf copy of the MX User Manual and restricted search to this year. In the search box, entered MX Manual 2017 pdf. As this...

OK, I agree about the directories. Ran the prog again today and could not delete the directories - as did happen yesterday. It would be much better with a setup menu. Have been reading some of the feedback and replies - where it was suggested that a user could open the config. file to make requested...

The Update option allows directories to be ignored in the search.
