Re: Problem with Xfburn

The LO users mail list has had more than few complaints about 5.4. I have not seen any directly related to disk burning but know that 5.4 has differences from its predecessors. I'll admit to using K3b even though it adds quite a bit of overhead, never had any problems with this KDE application and I...

Re: Default Browser

Yep, that has fixed it thanks ER and Jerry - although it was not quite so easy, the palemoon file name in the bin was incorrect, had to re-install Pale Moon and do the Preferred Apps bit again. In a new installation of MX-17, I cannot use the links in the MX Manual unless Firefox is also installed - but not made the default. An Input/Output error is reported. Have double checked this. Delete Firefox and links will not w...

Re: Multi-boot Linux installation - some questions

Thanks for the replies and suggestions, will be working on it. There appear to be some variations, found one reference where each OS retains a home partition, but
it is very small, only containing things particular to that OS. All the common items, pictures etc, go into a shared data.

Re: Multi-boot Linux installation - some questions

I too would welcome some advice on a separate data partition, partitions need tidying - when time allows.

Re: Where is ssd located and how to install mx linux

Adding to what I wrote yesterday, Section 2 of MX Manual tells you how to install.
