I like to stick as close as possible to "out of the box" with distros I install and use.
Definitely agree. This way, everything works with minimum hassle. Prefer to adapt myself to any changes, rather than fiddling with a distro to make it
look/work like something I used in the past.

Re: Loads of upgrades

I was also suspicious but have installed the updates. Everything still works and no smoke visible as yet.

Re: Are you a writer?

Dutch language problems. You bring back some memories Eadwine. Some years ago I was preparing a training course on a complex equipment supplied by Philips. The drawings were all In Dutch with many words strung together. Joanna, one of our team came from Holland and she could not help us much with wo...

Re: KBibTeX - Update Request - to stable version 0.8.1

The MX User Manual was drafted in Lyx for a few years. Swapped to Libre office as it was easier for distribution to translators.

Re: KBibTeX - Update Request - to stable version 0.8.1

Another option could be to use Lyx as the front end of LateX, there is a Texlive package for bibliographies. Lyx runs very well on standard MX without KDE.

Re: Flowblade 2.0

Sunday morning. Deleted the download and installation and started again, using the same Test Repo NZ Christchurch/Auckland mirror as yesterday. This time Flowblade 2.0 was installed. Was not using deb-multimedia and the new mirror was used both days. One thing showing in the Test repo today was that...

Re: Flowblade 2.0

Thanks Steve & Tim. it has arrived in local repo - early evening Friday, CA time purporting to be Flowblade 2.0 However, when installed from Test Repo it is Flowblade version 1.10-0, earlier than the one we have in main. An imposter ? Edit. Went back to the Test Repo and selected Upgrade for Flowbla...
