Re: Distrowatch - Torrents

Antix hs been very quiet for a week or so. I would not do anything with MX until the Final is released. Beta 2 looks stable, but one never
knows what may be changed.

Re: Time to start reviewing: UsersManual_20190908

Have gotten the message and started reviewing. Delayed by issue in downloading the Beta 2. Problem is at this end, it stalls on the final few seconds then eventually times out. Had the same error a couple of years ago. Now using a backup desktop and all is well. Will post diagram updates to manual @...

Re: Automatic Weather Stations ?

Included there is a page listing current software and systems for automatic stations & WOW (including Rasberry Pi) but some of the listed software is very old and there is very little about Linux. Are you sure the page is current? I wasn't able to go to the beta page (I get a "secure connection fai...

Re: Received and upgrade today (automatic) and my machine just crashed for the first time.

Major updates like this can happen unexpectedly (although not very often) and the Devs can be just as surprised as the rest of us when they appear without
warning.

Installed here without problems and I chose not to change Grub configuration. Everything works.

Re: resizing partitions

Welcome to MX. The basic answer is Yes, you can resize partitions, but to be realistic you have to be careful. You would need unused space on the drive - and you must know how to do the job. Have done it several times using Gparted (Gnome Partition Editor). If there is unallocated space immediately ...

Re: Automatic Weather Stations ?

@ Jeff, No, I do not contribute to WOW, had enough weather observing many years ago to continue it as a hobby. My query about using MX for AWS came from my doing some proofreading for the NZ Met Service's new website. Included there is a page listing current software and systems for automatic statio...

Re: Automatic Weather Stations ?

Thanks for the replies. They help to confirm my thinking that WOW is getting most input from MS based computers and that very little software has been written for Linux users. I don't run an automatic myself, initially trained as a weatherman and still prefer to look out the window and see what is h...

Automatic Weather Stations ?

(1) Is anyone running an automatic weather recording station with MX ? (2) If you are running such, do you contribute information to the
WOW (Weather Observations Website) and what software do you use for this ?
Thanks,
Gordon.

Re: Users Manual for MX-19

No, have not installed Beta 1, have been many hours a day on the other project. Will pick up B 2 when it appears. If the Master doc is in Github, can get it from there.
