Re: mx-17 and mx-18

Actually mx17 upgrades to mx18 automatically. The label on the partition shouldn't change, but that's not how the grub menu is built anyway. No, the partition label does not change. I installed the 18 beta on a test/backup box with 17 on it. Then the 18 rc preserving /home. Next, the 18 release. I ...

Re: Disable system updates? [BRICKED]

Pretty pointless Jerry since computer won't start. I'm answering from a Mint machine. Just a thought. can you use a snapshot of mx, or other, to check using gparted to see where the boot flag is ? New Discovery

After moving Mepis 12 to another drive for archive successfully, I fired it up today. (after months) To my surprise, I found I had an MX-15 repo. ( non active) Activated the repo & looked at it. Will Those MX-15 snapshots & stuff work with Mepis 12 b2 ?

Re: MX-16.1: Cannot upgrade Liquorix kernel (packages not authenticated)

UPDATE: Just noted something weird about the repo list , don't know if it's related. The MX Repo Manager shows me two test repos: 1) One is in the "mx.list" section. 2) The second one is in a "mxtestrepo.list" section and points to main.mepis-deb.org. Why are there two test repos in the first place...

Re: Firefox options for us Mepis 11 holdouts

Something wrong with your Synaptic settings? I don't know what they'd be. I haven't touched them in ages. Went in a toggled a few things, but it made no difference. It's got me stumped. What's the command for purging the apt cache? UM See if they look like this. (if link works) http://www.mepis.org...
