To narrow your choice of method, there are file system backups and image backups ( these are at partition level). For imaging, I use dd, for file system backups I use both tar and rsync.

@ Richard, there is a Debian package that will do all the hard work for you, it's:- "grub-imageboot". I've used it in the past for Clonezilla from grub but not recently. Doubt that persistence would work though.

Airprint from ipad via avahi

Just wonder whether anyone has airprint set up on MX17? I have it working on MX16 but not MX17. The ipad can see the printer but print fails. Have googled and tried several suggestions but still stumped.
