On the boot of dvd on my older computer when booting the dvd I had to change the boot options -tab removed quiet-then added acpi=off failsafe. I then booted the iso and installed mxlinux 18-It worked fine for me with no problems after booting the system from the hard drive.thanks john

Thank you all for your answers .I have uninstalled libreoffice to gain space on my old 32 bit computer. Its a small drive.I LEFT IT ON MY 64 BIT SYSTEM.thanks john

Why is libre office part of mxlinux it takes a lot of space on hard drive and how many users are there?It can be installed if needed.thanks john

Sorry if was out of line.I just wanted to show that the update was easy with mx18--I've had to change some of the repositories to accomplish the upgrade --that is why I posted this way--I know that antix lets you choose which repositories on the install of the system--so I wanted to show what I had ...
