Solved: Dell Optiplex 9020 doesn't show MX in boot options
It's working! And better than I hoped, it boots straight to MX without me having to press F10 to bypass Windows! I followed the suggestions and sure enough, there was an option to boot from the bootable usb under Legacy, just called "USB Storage Drive". I had previously chosen the one call...

Re: Dell Optiplex 9020 doesn't show MX in boot options
Thanks! Upon following these suggestions, I think my problem will be solved. Isn't installing Grub to MBR the default and recommended way? I didn't change that in the installer, so thinking Grub is on MBR. But I will look and see if there are two different options for booting Legacy and UEFI after p...

Re: Dell Optiplex 9020 doesn't show MX in boot options
Till you post the QSI : "Fast Startup" .. disable that on Windows (but that won't solve this issue, that's a general recommendation as it keeps devices busy for it doesn't really shutdown). To make it clear: It sounds like grub was not installed ... Do you see any Grub menu? Or .. how do ...

I did do it with GParted from the live USB. Can I redo it with Windows and reinstall MX?

Re: Dell Optiplex 9020 doesn't show MX in boot options
No, only Windows 10. I partitioned the hard drive to make a Linux MX partition. Would that work if I booted from USB drive again?

Dell Optiplex 9020 doesn't show MX in boot options
Hi, I just installed MX23 on a Dell Optiplex 9020 All in one desktop computer, and I can't figure out how to get it to show up in the boot options. I have tried all the different settings offered in Change Boot Options, and here are the options I get with each one. Boot mode is set to: UEFI; Secure ...

Re: Change icon size in window that opens to save or open files
I think it applies to any program, but I was using Telegram and trying to upload a photo to it. When I click the paperclip icon to post a picture, in the window that opens to select the file, the thumbnails of the pictures are really small, too small to see what the picture is of. I have to go to th...

Re: Change icon size in window that opens to save or open files
Ok, thank you. It seems like on a bigger screen it's harder to read, but maybe that's just an optical illusion of sorts. We can just live with it they way it is!

Re: Change icon size in window that opens to save or open files
Thank you! Sorry, I said Dolphin when I meant Thunar. I'm actually on XFCE, used to run KDE.
