Re: Insulin question

I can't answer for cats, but as a long term insulin user (type 1 for 28 years) I have found that all types of insulin and brands lose about 1% in strength per month after the 28 day period if kept unrefrigerated. Refrigerated it will keep its strength. However as the syringe warms up to room tempera...

Thanks D.O. You were right I followed your clues and found it was really a KDE Plasma screen. It is too old to find the original post ot my full zip file, so I am giving it up, It seems as though I woul have to install KDE-full and some other files to make it work (?) in MX18 with the latest kernel....

can't add theme to Plymouth

I am trying to install an old theme, simplycpz. It worked for me on MX16 and MX17 and is still working on MX16 on my wife's computer. I have the simplycpz.tar.gz installed in /usr/share/plymouth/themes. I have rewritten theme.txt (originally theme.rc as simplecups and description.txt as script.scrip...

Firefox keeps asking to be default btowser

Running MX 18 upgrade from MX17 with updates through this PM. Both Firefox 16.4 and Firefox ESR keep asking to be default browser even though preferences show it already is. Do not have the KDE preferred applications, and MX preferred applications show Firefox(either one that I have loaded) is alrea...

Re: MX-17 to MX-18 update testing

I upgraded the kernel per instructions and everything is still working. The only non-working item is Plymouth customization on boot, I expected that as it is a combination of two images. I agree with Richard, MX18 seems a little faster to me but I have no objective measurements. Great job by the Dev...

Re: MX-17 to MX-18 update testing

Upgraded my Dell Precision M6400. Everything works so far. I will keep repository open for now for kernel update.
Did not lose anything.

MX17 on Macbook

Can MX17 run on a Macbook? If so, which one is recommended. I see several older ones for sale cheap on eBay.

Thinking about a new used computer.
